The what of our future is determined by the who of eternity.

Deuteronomy 18:9-14

When you come into the land that the LORD your God is giving you,
you must not learn to imitate the abhorrent practices of those nations.
No one shall be found among you who makes a son or daughters pass through fire or who practices divination,or a soothsayer, or an augur, or a sorcerer, or one who casts spells, or who consults ghosts or spirits, or who seeks oracles from the dead.
For whoever does these things is abhorrent to the LORD;
it is because of such abhorrent practices that the LORD your God is driving them out before you.
You must remain completely loyal to the LORD your God.
Although these nations that you are about to dispossess do give heed to soothsayers and diviners, as for you, the LORD your God does not permit you to do so.

Love for Enemies

Matthew 5:43-48
"You have heard that it was said,
'You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.'
But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be children of your Father in heaven; for he makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the righteous and on the unrighteous.
For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have?
Do not even the tax collectors do the same? And if you greet only your brothers and sisters, what more are you doing than others? Do not even the Gentiles do the same?
Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.

To get better age, get spiritually fit.

Proverbs 8:32-36

And now, my children, listen to me:
happy are those who keep my ways.
Hear instruction and be wise,
and do not neglect it.
Happy is the one who listens to me,
watching daily at my gates,
waiting beside my doors.
For whoever finds me finds life
and obtains favor from the
LORD;
but those who miss me injure
themselves
all who hate me love death.

God's timing is perfect - even in death.

Psalm 139:7-18
Where I can from your spirit?
Or where can I flee from your presence?
If I ascend to heaven, you are there;
if I make my bed in Sheol,
you are there.
If I take the wings of the morning
and settle at the farthest limits
of the sea,
even there your hand shall lead me,
and your right hand shall hold
me fast.
If I say, "Surely the darkness
shall cover me,
and the light around me
become night,"
even the darkness is not dark to
you;
the night is as bright as the
day,
for darkness is as light to you.
For it was you who formed my
inward parts;
you knit me together in my
mother's womb.
I praise you,for I am fearfully
and wonderfully made.
Wonderful are your works;
that I know very well.
My frame was not hidden from you,
when I was being made in
secret,
intricately woven in the depths
of the earth.
Your eayes beheld my unformed
substance.
In your book were written
all the days that were formed
for me,
when none of them as yet
existed.
How weighty to me are your
thoughts, O God !
How vast is the sum of them !
I try to count them - they are
more than the sand;
I come to the end - I am still
with you.

Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name.
Your kingdom come.
Your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our sins,
as we also have forgiven those who sinned against us.
Do not bring us to the test,
but deliver us from evil.

For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you; but if you do not forgive others, neither will your father forgive your trespasses.

Help us, Lord, to work together With gifts that You bestow; Give us unity of purpose As we serve You here below.

2 Corinthians 12:4-11

God knows-was caught into Paradise and heard things that are not to be told,
that no mortal is permitted to repeat.
On behalf of such a one I will boast, except of my weaknesses.
But if I wish to boast, I will not be a fool, for I will be speaking the truth.
But I refrain from it, so that no one may think better of me than what is seen in me or heard from me, even considering the exceptional character of the revelations.
Therefore, to keep me from bing too elated, a thorn was given me in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to torment me, to keep me from being too elated.
Three times I appealed to the Lord about this, that it would leave me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for power is made perfect in weakness." So, I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me.
Therefore I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities for the sake of Christ; for whenever I am weak, then I am strong.

Praise for Deliverance from Oppression

Isaiah 25:1-9

O Lord, you are my God;
I will exalt you, I will praise
your name;
for you have done wonderful things,
plans formed of old, faithful and sure.
For you have made the city a heap,
the fortified city a ruin;
the palace of aliens is a city no more,
it will never be rebuilt.
Therefore strong people will
glorify you;
cities of ruthless nations will fear you.
For you have been a refuge to the poor,
a refuge to the needy in their distress,
a shelter from the rainstorm
and a shade from the heat.
When the last of the ruthless
was like a winter
rainstorm,
the noise of aliens like heat in a dry place,
you subdued the heat with the
shade of clouds;
the song of the ruthless was stilled.

On this mountain the Lord of
hosts will make for all
peoples
a feast of rich food, a feast of
well-aged wines,
of rich food,filled with
marrow, of well-aged wines
strained clear.
And he will destroy on this
mountain
the shroud that is cast over all
peoples,
the sheet that is spread over
all nations;
he will swallow up death
forever.
Then the Lord God will wipe
away the tears from all
faces,
and the disgrace of his people
he will take away from all
the earth,
for the Lord has spoken.
It will be said of that day,
Lo, this is our God; we have
waited for him, so that he
might save us.
This is the Lord for whom we have waited;
let s be glad and rejoice in
his salvation.

Living Sacrifice

Romans 12:1-8

I appeal to you brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.
Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your minds, so that you may discern what is the will of God-what is good and acceptable and perfect.
For the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think of yourself more highly than ought to think, but to think with sober judgment, each according to the measure of faith that God has assigned.
For as in one body we have the same functions, so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually we are members one of another.
We have gifts that differ according to the grace given to us: prophecy, in proportion to faith; ministry, in ministering; the teacher, in teaching; the giver, in generosity; the leader, in diligence; the compassionate, in cheerfulness.

Bear One Another's Burdens

Galatians 6:6-9

Those who are taught the word must share in all good things with their teacher.
Do not be deceived; God is not mocked, for you reap whatever you sow.
If you sow to your own flesh,you will reap corruption from the flesh; but if you sow to the Spirit, you will reap eternal life from the Spirit.
So let us not grow weary in doing what is right, for we will reap at the harvest time, if we do not give up.

Warning against Rejecting God's Grace

Hebrew 12:14-25

Pursue peace with everyone, and the holiness without which no one will see the Lord.
See to it that no one fails to obtain the grace of God; that no root of bitterness springs up and causes trouble, and through it many become defiled. See to it that no one becomes like Esau, an immoral and godless person, who sold his birthright for a single meal.
You know that later, when he wanted to inherit the blessing, he was rejected, for he found no chance to repent, even though he sought the blessing with tears.
You have not come to something that can be touched, a blazing fire, and darkness, and gloom, and a tempest, and the sound of a trumpet, and a voice whose words made the hearers beg that not another word be spoken to them.
(For they could not endure the order that was given, "If even an animal touches the mountain it shall be stoned to death." Indeed so terrifying was the sight that Moses said, "I tremble with fear.")
But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to innumerable angels in festal gathering, and to the assembly of the firstborn who are enrolled in heaven, and to God the judge of all and to the spirits of the righteous made perfect, and to Jesus, the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood that speaks a better word than the blood of Abel.
See that you do not refuse the one who is speaking; for if they did not escape when they refused the one who warned them on earth, how much less will we escape if we reject the one who warns from heaven !

Imitating Christ's Humility

Philippians 2:1-11

If then there is any encouragement in Christ, any consolation from love, any sharing in the Spirit, any compassion and sympathy, make my joy complete: be of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind.

Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in yourselves.

Let each of you look not to your interests, but to the interests of others.

Let the same mind be in you that was in Christ Jesus, who, though he was in the form of God, did not regard equality with God as something to be exploited, but emptied himself, taking the form of slave, being born in human likeness.

And being found in human form, he humbled himself and became obedient to the point of death-even death on a cross.

Therefore God also highly exalted him and gave him the name so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bend, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

And I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven fro God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

"See, the home of God is among mortals.
He will dwell with them as their God;
they will be his peoples,

Admonition to Trust and Honor God

Proverbs 3:1-10

My child, do not forget my teaching, but let your heart keep my commandments; for length of days and years of life and abundant welfare they will give you.
Do not let loyalty and faithfulness forsake you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart.
So you will find favor and good repute in the sight of God and of people.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not rely on your own insight.
In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.
Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord, and turn away from evil.
It will be a healing for your flesh and refreshment for your body.
Honor the Lord with your substance and with the first fruits of all your produce; then your barns will be filled with plenty and your vats will be bursting with wine.

The Judgment of Nations

Matthew 25:31-40

"When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit on the throne of his glory. All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate people one from another as a shepherd and he will put the sheep at his right hand the goats at the left. Then the king will say to those at his right hand, 'Come, you that are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world; for I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you gave me clothing, I was sick and you took care of me , I was in prison and you visited me.'
Then the righteous will answer him, 'Lord, when was it that we saw you hungry and gave you food, or thirsty and gave you something to drink? And when was it that we saw you a stranger and welcomed you, or naked and gave you clothing? And when was it that we saw you sick or in prison and visited you?' And the king will answer them, 'Truly I tell you, just as you did it to one of the least of these who are members of my family, you did it to me.'

What, me worry?

Philippians 2:4-9

Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice. Let your gentleness be known to everyone.
The Lord is near. Do not worry about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Finally, beloved, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is pleasing, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence and if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.
Keep on doing the things that you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, and the God of peace will be with you.

A prayer request......

Ate Chinet is sick.

She is the senior most colleague of mine and is well respected by everyone of us. She has a nice family with cute children,and a wonderful and loving Hubby.

Recently she has been diagnosed with a Uterus problem and is bleeding a lot. She has been advised an operation by the doctor.

We are all sad hearing this and I sincerely request everyone to pray for her.

I am praying a lot for her and I am sure God is kind and will support her at this time of need. God will surely surely cure her and our combined prayers will be heard by Him.

Let's all pray together !

Please add your prayers to God for her as Comments to this post.

Mark 5:25-34
A Girl Restored to Life and a Woman Healed

Now there was a woman who had been suffering from hemorrhages for twelve years.
She had endured much under many physicians, and had spent all that she had; and she was no better, but rather grew worse. She had heard about Jesus, and came up behind him in the crowd and touched his cloak, for she said, If I touch his clothes, I will be made well. Immediately her hemorrhage stopped; and she felt in her body that she was healed of her disease.
Immediately aware that power had gone forth from him, Jesus turned about the crowd and said, "Who touched my clothes?" and his disciples said to him, "You see the crowd pressing in on you; how can you say, 'Who touched me?" He looked all around to see who had done it. But the woman, knowing what had happened to her, came in fear and trembling, fell down before him, and told him the whole truth. He said to her, "Daughter, your faith has made you well; go in peace, and be healed of your disease."

God Bless !
